The mission of the Alabama Poison Center (APC) is to
prevent poisonings and to reduce the morbidity, mortality and
cost associated with poisonings in Alabama.
APC will accomplish this mission by providing 24-hour quality
emergency assessment and treatment, information and
follow-up, public education for poison prevention and health,
professional education as well as toxic exposure surveillance
and research. APC is committed to protecting and improving
the lives of the people of Alabama.
