The Alabama Poison Center is committed to the safety and well being of Alabama's youth. Each year thousands of children living in Alabama are poisoned. Poisonings can occur from swallowing something harmful, inhaling poisonous substances, getting harmful substances in eyes or on the skin. This also includes bites and stings.

No age group is immune to the potential for poison exposures. But knowing what is potentially harmful is the first step in prevention.
