Certified Specialist in Poison Information (CSPI)

A Certified Specialist in Poison Information (CSPI) is a pharmacist, nurse, or physician who has passed a national certification exam sponsored by the American Association of Poison Control Centers. Qualifications to take the certification exam include having worked in a poison center for at least one year and managed at least 2,000 human exposure cases. Recertification must be done every seven years.
