Each year the Poison Center compiles an annual report. This
report gives an overall summary of services provided by the
Poison Center and is available to the general public.

ANNUAL REPORT
• Total number of calls received
• Number of calls related to poison information where
there was no exposure to a substance
• Number of calls requesting drug identification or
educational material
• Number of calls related to an exposure to some type
of substance or bite
• Number of exposure calls related to humans
• Category of call origination (Whether call was made
by the general public, law enforcement or a health
care facility.)
• Where the exposure occurred
• Age and gender of person exposed
• Number of exposure calls managed by poison center
staff at home
• Number of exposure calls referred by poison center
staff to a health care facility
• Symptoms experienced by persons exposed to a
substance
• Management information given by poison center staff
• Management received
• Outcome of poison exposures
• Fatalities due to poison exposures
