The Alabama Poison Center is a telephone information
resource for both the public and health care professionals
throughout Alabama.
The center is staffed by qualified nurse specialists trained in
toxicology. Toxicologists and consultants in many fields
provide back up for the specialist in poison information.
The poison center is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The Alabama Poison Center has been serving the citizens of
Alabama for 30 years. Over 400 thousand people have used
this service.
